On my recent trip to the Alps I did some hiking amongst the giant peaks of the Alps. The first hike was in the Aiguilles Rouges near Chamonix with view over the Mont Blanc massive. The intention was to photograph high alpine lakes but the snowy winter and bad weather prevented that. Here are some of my images from that hike (the same hike as when I saw the Alpine Ibex):

The 2nd hike I did was amongst the alpine lakes near Zermatt (actually did it twice, once in the during the day with family and friends and again in the evening alone). It is an easy but beautiful hike with view of many of the 4000m peaks of the alps f.x. Matterhorn, Weisshorn and Mt. Rosa:

The weather was not very good during our visit to the Alps, something most Europeans can confirm this summer. I will surely return once again and hopefully bring back some more images.
