European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2011

Last weekend one of the most prestigious nature photography awards in Europe was announced at the International Nature Photography Festival of the GDT 2011 in Lunnen Germany. The award called European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2011 has been held since 2001 and attracts some of the most talented nature photographers around.

I was fortunate enough to get a highly commended award for one of my images from the 2010 Fimmvörðuháls eruption. The images in the “Nature Studio” category can be seen here: Nature Studio.
